Margot Ainsworth-Rée (she/her) is the founding Editor-in-Chief of Top Picks Report. She holds a BA in English from Bryn Mawr (2008) and an MFA in Nonfiction from the Iowa Writers' Workshop (2011).
Harun Demir — Senior Editor — Apps & Software
Harun Demir (he/him) is the Senior Editor for Apps & Software at Top Picks Report. He holds a BA in Computer Science from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul (2013), and spent the seven years between graduating and joining the magazine as a contributing writer for MacStories and The Sweet Setup, where he covered the corner of the consumer-software market that takes design seriously: writing apps, note-taking systems, indie productivity tools, and the small wave of AI-first applications that began arriving in 2023.
Penelope Voorhees-Larkin — Books & Culture Editor
Penelope Voorhees-Larkin (she/her) is the Books & Culture Editor at Top Picks Report. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from New York University (2016), where her dissertation examined the editorial mechanics of the mid-century quarterly magazine.
Tomás Saavedra-Lin — Kitchen & Coffee Editor
Tomás Saavedra-Lin (he/him) is the Kitchen & Coffee Editor at Top Picks Report. He trained at the Culinary Institute of America (graduated 2014) and spent the first half of his career working line jobs at the kind of restaurants where the cookware is a serious institutional choice — three years at Eleven Madison Park, then a stint as a sous at a smaller restaurant in the Hudson Valley.
Diane Olawumi-Becker — Travel & Home Office Editor
Diane Olawumi-Becker (she/her) is the Travel & Home Office Editor at Top Picks Report. She holds a BS in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute (2011), and spent the eight years that followed as a product designer at Herman Miller, working on the small chair-and-desk side of the catalog before moving onto the carry-and-mobility line.
